I have begun the process of ordering the final large (ish) expense, the curtains. I have emailed the manufacturer and sent full sizes and requirements and asked for a quote. I am thinking about £100.00 but really have very little idea, we shall see.
Hey Dennis, I went to my local curtain and material place, happens to be a place called Dunelms here, got my material for around £5.99 a meter, think I spent around £40 maybe slightly less on it, then it cost me £36 to get them made into curtains by a friends mum, worth asking around friends and family, usually someone that can make curtains, they arent really that hard. Oh I bought the curtain tape, 10 meters, was 25p a meter i think, and the thread, which was about £3. Money well spent, came in under £100, so fingers crossed you get a good quote ! Not done anything else to mine yet, next thing is the electric cupboard, but more important things to spend money on at the moment, 2 lengths of contiboard to match the kitchen is £36 then I have to but the doors which is another £22. Actually enjoying using it as is at the moment, was led in it tonight reading a book in between deliveries at my chinese delivery job !, quite cosy with the curtains and spotlights when it gets dark :)
